Jordan Peele is an Oscar- and Emmy-winning director, writer, actor, producer, and founder of Monkeypaw Productions. Peele's first feature film, "Get Out," was a critically acclaimed blockbuster, recognized with four Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture. The film would earn Peele the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay. His second feature, "Us," broke numerous box-office records, becoming the biggest opening for an R-rated original film in history when released in March of 2019 to widespread critical praise. Peele's third feature, the original horror epic, "Nope," opened in the summer of 2022 to rave reviews, the No. 1 slot at the box office, and once again becoming a widely discussed cultural phenomenon. Jordan Peele is an actor, comedian, writer, producer, and director. He was born in New York City on February 21, 1979, (Happy Birthday, Jordan!). He attended the Calhoun School in Manhattan and went on to Sarah Lawrence College with the intention of studying puppeteering before dropping out after two years to form a comedy duo with his college roommate. He did sketch comedy and improv in Chicago for some years, eventually landing a tv gig.
Peele initially rose to fame starring in the sketch series Key & Peele on Comedy Central. For five seasons he was also a cast member on Mad TV. In 2014, he had a recurring role in the first season of the FX anthology series Fargo, based on the 1996 film of the same name. “When the comedy acting took over I kind of believed my shot at becoming a director was going away. I believe part of that was self-protection because I adored the form so much I felt I couldn’t possibly make a movie as good as my favourite movies.”

.Jordan Peele is an American comedian, writer, actor, producer and director. After studying at Sarah Lawrence College, where he majored in puppetry, Peele decided he wanted to try comedy. He dropped out after his second year of college to form a comedy duo with his friend Rebecca Drysdale, with whom he moved to Chicago to pursue sketch comedy and improvisation.
Peele first met Keegan-Michael Key at Chicago's Second City, a comedy club, theatre and school of improvisation. They ended up on MADtv together. After five seasons with MADtv, Peele left at the end of their 13th season and began making work with Key. In 2012, their show, Key and Peele, premiered on Comedy Central and ran for five seasons, 53 episodes total, ending in September 2015.
