Sunil Hirani is the co-founder, with Don Wilson, of Digital Asset Holdings, a company that uses blockchain technology to facilitate settlement between digital and traditional currencies. It was founded in 2014.

He is also co-founder and CEO of trueEX, an exchange platform for interest rate and digital asset swaps contracts.^[1]

Hirani formed trueDigital Holdings to develop digital asset trading solutions in March 2018.^[2]

Background

Hirani also co-founded and served as CEO of Creditex, a credit swaps brokerage firm launched in 2000 and acquired in 2008 by the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). ^[3]

Hirani became senior vice president and corporate development officer of ICE's Creditex subsidiary after the $513 million acquisition and was instrumental in the integration of Creditex into ICE. He left ICE in January 2010 to pursue other opportunities but continued as an advisor.^[4]

Dr. Hirani graduated from Guy’s Hospital, London, England in 1996. He has a Master’s degree in Orthodontics and is a Fellow of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) and holds a Membership in Orthodontics from the RCS which was awarded in 2003. In 2005, he passed his exit fellowship, FDS (Orth) which is a marker of Consultant approved training and obtained first place in the UK.

Dr. Hirani has published articles in leading journals such as the Journal of Orthodontics, Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, European Journal of Orthodontics and Orthodontic Update. He has trained, lectured and presented research to other dentists and orthodontists in the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA.

He has a strong background in working with many different dentists and specialists to achieve first-class results. A good sense of humour, patience and attention to detail ensures that children and adults receive the highest standard of orthodontic care.

Dr Hirani graduated from Guy’s Hospital, London, England in 1996.

He has a Master’s degree in Orthodontics and is a Fellow of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) and holds a Membership in Orthodontics from the RCS which was awarded in 2003.

In 2005, he passed his exit fellowship, FDS (Orth) which is the highest marker of orthodontic training in the UK and obtained first place via examination (Gold medal winner).

Dr Hirani is currently the Chairman of the British Lingual Orthodontic Society (BLOS) and British Dental Association (BDA).

In 2022, he became a Titular member of the European Society of Lingual Orthodontics (ESLO) by examination. This is the highest level lingual board examination in Europe and obtained first place. As of 2022, there are about 50 orthodontists world-wide who have ever achieved this and Dr Hirani is the only orthodontist in the UK to have ever achieved this accolade.
