Robert Hardman is an internationally renowned writer and broadcaster, specialising in royalty and history for three decades. His 2024 biography, Charles III: New King. New Court. According to the Daily Mail’s official extracts, the book excavates a much discussed and highly contentious royal issue: the Sussex’s baby name. The subject has been greatly debated, speculated on and argued about, with Harry and Meghan accusing the BBC of libel after they referenced ‘a senior Buckingham Palace’ reporting that the Queen had not given permission for ‘Lilibet’ – the Queen’s affectionate nickname – to be used for her great grandchild.
