Jason Richardson has been involved in sport for over 20 years, firstly as an elite runner, then as a broadcaster on radio and TV with media organisations including Seven Network, Racing.Com and Radio SEN.

Although horse racing has been Jason’s key focus, he is also a presenter and commentator on an array of other sports for Seven including the Big Bash League and WBBL, the Olympic Games of 2016 and 2020, the 2017 FINA World Championships, the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics, and the annual Stawell Gift Carnival.

With a sporting career boasting a win in the iconic Stawell Gift in 1993, Jason is now a highly sought-after host of corporate events throughout Australia – particularly those with a racing or sporting theme.

Raised on a healthy diet of science fiction, fantasy, and Greek mythology, Jason’s youth was spent among the stars, on other planets, and in ancient Greece. Well, technically his youth was spent in Louisiana, Atlanta, and Tennessee. His mind was all over the place though. His desire to become a writer started in elementary school and pushed him to an English and Education double major from Vanderbilt (with an accidental minor in classical languages). The masters he got from Vanderbilt focusing on English education was to make sure he could make money while writing. Then he started working… As a High School English teacher and a high school soccer coach (a state championship coach to be exact), he found little time for writing. Jason Reeves Richardson[1] (born July 30, 1991) is an American guitarist. He is known for his work as a guitarist in both Born of Osiris and Chelsea Grin. He currently works as both a solo artist and as an official member of All That Remains.

Career

On February 5, 2009, age 17, Richardson replaced Chris Storey of All Shall Perish as a touring member.

In late 2011, Richardson parted ways with Born of Osiris. Then, in early 2012, he joined Chelsea Grin. On September 12, 2015, Richardson announced his departure from the band to focus on a solo career.[2]

In 2016, Richardson released his debut solo album entitled I.[3] produced by Taylor Larson. The album featured ex- The Word Alive drummer Luke Holland as a member. Along with Holland, the album had many guest appearances from the likes of Periphery's Mark Holcomb & Spencer Sotelo, Vocalist Lukas Magyar of Veil of Maya, and Jeff Loomis.[3]
