Choi Jin-ri (Korean: 최진리; March 29, 1994[5] – October 13 or 14, 2019[3][6]), known professionally as Sulli (), was a South Korean singer and actress. She first made her debut as a child actress, appearing as a supporting cast member on the SBS historical drama Ballad of Seodong (2005). Following this, she earned a number of guest roles, appearing in the television series Love Needs a Miracle (2005) and Drama City (2007), and the film Vacation (2006). She then subsequently appeared in the independent films Punch Lady (2007) and BA:BO (2008), the former being her first time cast in a substantial dramatic role.
After signing a record deal with SM Entertainment, Sulli rose to prominence as a member of the girl groupf(x) formed in 2009. The group achieved both critical and commercial success, with four Korean number-one singles and international recognition after becoming the first K-

She left the group in 2015 to concentrate on her acting career, but later made her return to music in 2018, featuring in Dean's song "dayfly", and later making her solo debut in June of 2019 with "Goblin".

Sulli: The woman who rebelled against the K-pop world
In an industry that rewards performers for their silence off stage, K-pop star Sulli was a rebel.
The actress-singer rose to prominence as a member of girl band f(x). But she came to be known for speaking out on mental health issues, cyberbullying and women's rights - issues that remain sensitive in a conservative society like South Korea.
The 25-year-old died at home on Monday.
She is being remembered by her fans as someone who made sure her voice was heard.
As one music critic put it: "She laughed when she wanted to laugh and cried when she wanted to cry. She brazenly spoke out. She didn't fit the mould."
From trainee to popstar
Sulli, whose real name was Choi Jin-ri, entered the Korean entertainment scene in 2005 when she was just 11 years old.
